Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) - Full Time
VITAS admissions nurses are our patients and families' first introduction to the quality end-of-life care that VITAS provides. The admissions nurse's primary responsibility is to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in appropriate hospice admissions. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in acute or sub-acute care and a current state of California RN license.
Registered Nurse (RN)
The VITAS RN is responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for our patients and families and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse and a current Florida registered nurse license.
Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
The VITAS hospice aide is a certified home health aide (CHHA) who provides personal care and services to VITAS patients to augment the care given by family members. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience and a current certification.
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
The VITAS LVN evaluates the needs of patients and families and provides direct skilled bedside nursing care to our patients according to the plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience and a current state of California LVN license.
Director of Clinical Services (PCA)
The Patient Care Administrator is responsible for ensuring that hospice care is provided to the ultimate satisfaction of patients and their families, while meeting the expectations of referral sources and other external customers, and maintaining the financial integrity of patient care. Considering this objective, the PCA is primarily responsible for: effective communication, the clinical appropriateness of care being provided, the adequacy and quality of patient care services, employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction and financial management To qualify, candidates must have a current California RN license, two (2) years of home health experience and four (4) years of management experience.
