Home Care Team Manager, RN
The VITAS team manager is the leader of the patient care team whose function is to supervise, evaluate and coordinate the various members of the interdisciplinary team. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting and a current state of Florida RN license.
Admissions Nurse, RN
VITAS admissions nurses are our patients and families' first introduction to the quality end-of-life care that VITAS provides. The admissions nurse's primary responsibility is to present VITAS services and philosophy to patients and families in a manner that results in appropriate hospice admissions. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in acute or sub-acute care and a current state of Florida RN license.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The VITAS LPN evaluates the needs of patients and families and provides direct skilled bedside nursing care to our patients according to the plan of care under the supervision of a registered nurse. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience and a current state of Florida LPN license.
Home Health Aide, CNA
The VITAS home health aide is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) who provides personal care and services to VITAS patients to augment the care given by family members. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of direct patient care experience and a current certification.
Social Worker, MSW
The VITAS social worker supports the psychosocial well-being of our patients and families by defining social service goals for alleviating problems, and providing the counseling and casework needed to meet these goals. To qualify for the position, candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of social service experience in a health-care setting or social service agency and a master of social work degree.
The VITAS chaplain focuses on the spiritual needs of patients, families, caregivers and staff, including volunteers, and provides pastoral care interventions, including pastoral counseling, to patients and families. To qualify for the position, candidates must have ordination or commission to function in a ministry of pastoral care and a Master's of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited (ATS) seminary or theological school. Five years of pastoral experience, two in a clinical setting, is preferred.
